In cold, wet conditions Roy Hodgson would far prefer to Manaus in the other World Cup next summer, Ecuador (in Yellow) defeated Honduras (in Silver) with two second-half goals in a tight contest. Despite the weather a good crowd enjoyed an excellent standard of football.

The Clyst Vale World Cup is a proper tournament, but it also seeks to develop the verticality of our School system by getting year groups to work together. So, each team has two players from each of Year 7 to 11 playing, and one of the real delights of the competition is to see the older students encouraging and supporting their younger team mates, but all on the same team.
