Celebrations for Class of 2011

There was a fantastic atmosphere at our annual GCSE Presentation Evening.  It was great to see so many of last year’s Year 11 students together again, and because the group broke all sorts of GCSE records, it was a truly celebratory evening.  We are very proud of the GCSE ‘class of 2011’ and this shone through!  We were delighted to welcome back former Vice Principal Mrs Steadman as our guest of honour, who gave an uplifting speech reminding students that they are in charge of their own destiny and that having a dream and being prepared to work towards it are the keys to success.  Students were presented with their GCSE certificates and each subject identified the two students who had achieved most and made the most progress.  Special mention must go to Georgia Tapp, who won the overall achievement award, and to Katie Barons, who received the award for overall progress.
