Our Year 13 students were celebrating great results on Thursday 16th August !
The most important thing is that almost all students achieved results meaning that they can go on to the university, course or employment of their choice: A-levels really are a step to the next stage of one’s life. The media scare-mongering about availability of places does not seem to have been an issue for Clyst Vale students this year.
That said, there were some tremendous achievements to celebrate. Joey Reiness and Tom Chudley secured places at Downing College, Cambridge, while Jack Davey will go to Magdalen College, Oxford [Jack, Joey and Tom are pictured below, with Mrs Padden]. Other high-achieving students included Cicely Street-Mellor (Kings College, London), Josie Robb (Lancaster) and Megan Guy (Bath). Our overall pass rate was 96.5%, and a third of grades achieved were A*-B.
So, really well done to all of our students. We’re really proud of you, and wish you every success for the future !
