Sustainability Day

On Wednesday 2 March 2016, 25 enthusiastic Year 5 students (and several adults) came to Clyst Vale to learn more about ‘sustainability’.

We took them to our Canteen to learn about food miles and local produce from Layla (Kitchen Manager), and had a great trip to Broadclyst Community Farm (www.farm.broadclyst.org) – despite the hail! In the afternoon, the groups made posters about all they had learned and they will be providing feedback to their respective schools.

Many thanks to the primary schools involved: Clyst St Mary, Lady Seaward’s, Rockbeare, Silverton, Stoke Canon and Whimple.

And a big thank you to the four Year 10 students who made sure the day ran really smoothly: Alex Arthurs, Billy Davey, Cody Hole and Amelia Hopkinson.
