Architectural Challenge
On Wednesday 16th November, 30 Gifted and Talented students from years 8-10 (with some sixth form helpers too – thank you!) took part in a day of Architecture workshops. Maths, science and design skills were key to the students’ success – particular when tasked to build strong and tall structures, then double and triple these in size. Different shapes and structures were explored and one of the highlights was building a Taj Mahal replica which was particularly impressive in outcome!
It was fantastic to see such an able group of individuals facing challenges and overcoming them together to create, dissemble and evaluate some really impressive architecture.
