Y9 Macbeth

Since the start of the Spring term, Year 9 have began exploring the theme of conflict and how this is presented in the Shakespearean play ‘Macbeth’. Students have been analysing the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, as well as carrying out research into the context of the Jacobean era. They have been exploring the roles of women, superstition, the witches and the influence of patriarchal society on the play.

As part of her homework, Olive has produced a fantastic cartoon strip for the plot of play, together with brilliant illustrations, to help bring the storyline to life. Excellent work, Olive!”
