Holocaust Memorials

holocaust6Following on from the visit of Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines on 13th February, the Year 9 History students were asked to design a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. We had many superb designs created as a home learning project. All students produced good designs and some were absolutely amazing. They are all on display in our teaching rooms and some of the most impressive designs are shown below.

Lady Milena is now involved in a plan to produce a memorial to be placed in the main train station in Prague to “the parents who let their children go”. Students from Prague have been asked to submit entries and Lady Milena has asked our students to submit a design if they wish. Some students in Year 10 are already planning to do so.
