Er, actually, it IS rocket science…
Year 7 enjoyed a friendly competition on the last day of term. Students had had two Maths lessons to design and make a wind-powered rocket car, and on Wednesday they were put to the test. The Year Group splits into two, so there were two parallel competitions. The mini-project is part of our commitment to STEM subjects, and as well as design, engineering and problem-solving students used soft skills of leadership and teamwork. It was also a different activity than usual, and was fun. Students took the competition in good spirit, and the friendly rivalry continued even in the later knock-out stages.
